The asset preservation—rehabilitation/reconstruction of national roads with slips, slope collapse and landslide - secondary road along Biliran Circumferential Road, Tomalistis, Caibiran, Biliran is on-going with 32.46% accomplishment as of May 31, 2020. The completion of this project will provide a structure that will prevent further road slips and landslides on the said area.

DPWH-BILIRAN DEO POSTS 47.64% ACCOMPLISHMENT OF CY 2020 PROJECTS

On-going rehabilitation and expansion of barangay road in Brgy. Busali to Brgy. Pinangomhan in Biliran town under DPWH 2019 Local Infrastructures Program. This project has a contract cost of P5M under MB Ang Construction and Supply. The project was just started and as of June 30, 2019 it has an accomplishment of 10%. Target date for completion is August 23, 2019.

DPWH-BILIRAN DEO’S UPDATES ON 2018 PROJECT STATUS

Santol Bridge along Biliran—Naval Road Section, Brgy. San Isidro, Biliran, Biliran has undergone repair through removal of damaged existing pavement and backfilling utilizing maintenance crew and maintenance equipment under the supervision of Engr. Glenda G. Dagalea, Acting Chief of the Maintenance Section. The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH)- Biliran District Engineering Office (DEO) is now preparing for the Program of Works (POW) for the restoration not only of the Santol Bridge Abutment but also of other bridges with damaged approaches and slope protection.

UPDATES ON BILIRAN DEO’S 2017 INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS

SITE FOR THE REHABILITATION INCLUDING DRAINAGE AND ROAD-RIGHT-OF-WAY (RROW) ACQUISITION ACCESS ROAD LEADING TO NAVAL PORT AT NAVAL, BILIRAN. The above road is an access road leading to Naval Port in Naval, Biliran. It is proposed for rehabilitation with an appropriation of P54.939 Miliion. The road is most of the time congested on the early morning and late afternoon. The proposed project on above road is Rehabilitation of Access Road leading to Naval Port. The projects covers rehabilitation of 2.78 Lane Km. roadway and construction of drainage on some section. At present, preliminary and detailed engineering activities is still on-going.
