In order to put an end to all the political speculations and rumors of the possible persons of his choice who will run as governor and vice-governor in the May 2010 elections, Rep Glenn A. Chong in an interview revealed with all honesty and sincerity the people whom he put his big trust that will compliment in fulfilling his good plans for the Biliranons.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet us think, look and scrutinize a candidate who can never be bought, beyond reproach and not those who just appear during election times\u201d Rep. Chong candidly said.<\/p>\n

The young solon told his previous political experience where his ally deserted him in the eleventh hour during the 2007 elections for some speculation that the latter was bought by the other political camp. <\/p>\n

The representative of the Lone District of Biliran, who already announced his plan for re-election, considered also some financial matters which could greatly affect in the campaign if he will choose the wrong candidate for the gubernatorial post through illustrating some financial and mathematical calculations. <\/p>\n

He added he will never choose a candidate who had in one way or the other had ties with the Espina political family because that will be a serious political peril..<\/p>\n

When asked on who will be that person whom he have trust to run for the position as governor in the province of Biliran, he stated without admitting that he will field a member of his family..<\/p>\n

But he categorically stated that if it will reach to the point to the establishment of a dynasty, he will show to the people his utmost sincerity by putting in place a person who will check the elected governor if that be his next of kin in running the affairs in the capitol.<\/p>\n

He openly stated that he will ask the clergy, one of the clergies in Biliran with the blessings of the bishop allowing him to run as vice-governor who will serve as guardian, will check and neutralize if abuse of power and authority may happen.<\/p>\n

The priest can use the pulpit in exposing wrongdoings in the government besides from his legislative power which he can use to check these things, Rep. Chong said.<\/p>\n

He also proposes to form a selected group of persons who will subject the elected governor if that be a member of his family to assessment and if he does not perform well or if he flunks then that would be a valid reason for him not to run again.<\/p>\n

However, he emphasized that it is the people themselves who can unceremoniously kick-out any elected government officials if he does not perform well or does not substantially meet their aspirations as manifested in the 2007 elections.<\/p>\n

He clarified that by putting somebody who is a member of his family in the gubernatorial post does not mean amassing political power or consolidating power but just to take off from the heat or to have someone who can share and help some of the heavy burden he carry in his back while serving his constituents.<\/p>\n

He mentioned program on health care or the part two of his proposed strategic health initiatives which can be best, effectively and efficiently delivered through a person whom he has trust or his ally coupled with the manpower compliment from the capitol <\/p>\n

He made an earnest appeal to all his political supporters here and in abroad to understand the situation he is in at this present time especially in his choice of a candidate for the gubernatorial post.<\/p>\n

Rep. Chong who is in his first term in office as congressman informed his supporters that they are facing a final battle this 2010 elections which was started in 2007 and he again reiterated for a kind understanding whatever decision to arrive which he think is geared for the betterment of the Biliranons he served.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
