Biliran Province Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) Situation Reports

JUST IN. 4 new Covid-19 cases recorded today for Biliran Province:
Almeria – 1 (Close Contact) Basud, PNP Trainee, Swab in Tacloban
Kawayan – 1 (Close Contact)
Naval – 2 (PNP trainees: PI Garcia and Lucsoon, swabbed in Tacloban).

Dr. Christine Balasbas, MHO of Kawayan, said they had not submitted samples. The Covid-positive from her town today might be in another place, but gave Kawayan as the address.

Total of 118 confirmed cases in Biliran Province as of Nov. 21, 2020.

The Dept. of Health has announced a total of 79 new confirmed cases last night, Nov. 21, 2020. Among the new cases, two (2) were identified coming from Naval, Biliran.

The two cases from Naval are police trainess from PNP Regional Office 8 who were swabbed last Nov. 20, 2020.

Their last known travel to Naval was last October 30, no history of travel was recorded after that.

Their identified close contacts were limited their colleagues at the training center. NO CLOSE CONTACT WAS IDENTIFIED IN NAVAL.

They are currently isolated at the PNP Facility in Tacloban City. – Mayor Gerard Espina

According to Rodolfo Espina Sr. The positive case released by EVRMC last night is from Brgy. Bulalacao, Kawayan, male, 27yrs.old. However, he is in Tacloban right now. Last visit to Bulalacao Sept 17,2020. Keep Safe Everyone! Let us practice the health protocols at all times.

Latest Covid Report yesterday revealed that the 2- Naval and 1- Kawayan positive PCR test individuals were all trainees of PNP and have been in PNP RTC-8 ,San Jose,Tacloban City since October 30 and underwent Swab test last Nov 20 and presently are still staying in RTC-8,Tacloban City .They have acquired the infection while having their training in PNP RTC-8 and not in Biliran Province hence they should not be considered as part of our internal Positive Covid persons official report or census. – Gov.
