Atipolo Massaker

Two couples namely Doroteo Tambis and Veoleta Tabiolo were brutally killed at Atipolo, Naval, Biliran around 10: 30pm last January 1, 2008. The two of three identified suspects namely Julius Abuelo, 23 years of age, the utility helper of the victims and Danny Entero, 23 years of age, neighbor of the victims are now both detained at the Naval Police Station.

According to Police Senior Inspector Martin Lagat, the suspects manage to get inside the house of the victims through the help of Julius Abuelo who has the key for the main door. Once inside Julius stayed at the main door to be the look out while Danny Entero and the other suspect climb at the space at the top of the master’s bedroom CR. Through the CR the two suspects enters the victim’s room and made the horrible crime.

The suspects took 5,000.00 pesos and the cellular phone of Doroteo Tambis while 500,000.00 pesos and jewelries worth of 30,000.00 pesos were taken off from Veoleta Tabiolo.

Robbery with Double Homicide charge is now file against the 3 suspects while the Police Station is waiting for the warrant of arrest to be issued by the court for the capture of the third suspect.

PSI Martin Lagat who is the Chief of Police here in Naval said that this case is nearly solved because of the confession of Julius Abuelo.

Ok ra ni nga video but the scene is too inhumane to show it to the public...brutal kaayo...pwde? make it not too revealing like in TV news...and ask the consent of the direct family of the victims.

Pre,

ah ok...but you know what? i am so disturbed seeing the video especially kadto gi-focus na ang FACE sa usa ka victim...as in focus...i don't know about journalism ethics but to me. There is a part of the video na dili angayan especially if usa ko sa mga anak sa namatay. :(

I know the site has the right of dessiminating the info as part of freedom of expression. Pero, this site also has the sole responsibility for every info it releases.

Wla koy blema pre sa pgpost og video about the killing but what alarms me is that we "might" stepped on one of the RIGHTS of the bereaved family.

Can we not make it too revealing? Bisan i-fog lang ang face sa victims??

Our right CEASEs to exist WHEN when other's RIGHT begins....:(

I agree to bluedafodils suggestion, that very disturbing part of the video should be censored or removed.

We must act right away to protect the privacy of the victims. Can we edit the video right now lon?

i agree bluedaffodils...the face must be in blurred...but there must be pictures of the victims so we can distinguish them...because some of symphatizers know them only from their face...

diba dapat i cordon ang scene of the crime kay aron ma preserve ang mga evidence??? naunsa na man ang mga investigators...what if the suspect is still at large...unsaon na man lang ang mga evidence...nagsagol na ang fingerprints...kinahanglan pa jud ug proper training ang mga authorities involved in the investigations....

yeap, korek, i dont know ngano naay naka sulod nga may police line man. hihihi

01-04-2008, 12:58 AM
Correct, nagpaila ra jud nga kulang pa sa training ang mga police and investigator.. unya diay ug kadtong mga tawo didto manguha pud ug gamit... sos pastilan ning atong kapulisan pud oi.. mura man ug di tig-tan-aw og mga crime scene movies...

i am appalled and disappointed the way the Police Dept. handled the crime scene! it showed ineptness of whoever is heading the investigation. why would you let relatives/neighbors inside the cordoned area? too many finger and foot prints are mingled if they have to dust the rooms and floors for prints!

guys, actions speak louder than words!!! everyone from the police department need to take intensive training in securing the integrity of the crime scene!

I was surprised of what I saw in the video, why people come and go with in the yellow barricade perimeter. Evidence of finger prints, things left by the suspects, can be potentially tampered or erased. Why is that the police let this people lurk around the crime scene. In my opinion, improper way of conducting or examining the case in the crime scene is there and rules or basics of performing investigation are not 100% been followed.
