RAM - Random Access Memory
Memory that allows any storage location to be accessed randomly, as opposed to
compact disk or harddisk, which are sequential access devices. Data stored is
automatically erased when the power is turned off.

ROM - Read Only Memory
Memory in which data can only be read, writting, deleting cannot be done.
Data stored remains with or without power.
Examples are the Data that your have burned into cd.
