Once in power, representatives fail to represent their voters.
The members of the House of the Representa-thieves pushing for the convening of a constituent assembly do not really represent the masses who elected them. After election and induction to office, these congressmen simply do as they please. They do not heed the voice of their constituent whom they swore to represent.
Congress, aside from not having been elected for the purpose of revising the Constitution, consists of people who currently hold political power and are not likely to be inclined to make changes that can diminish their power.
As citizen of this nation, we have the power to boot them out.
