Love is blind,they say; sex is impervious to reason and mocks the power of all philosophers. But, in fact, a man's sexual choice is the result and the sum of fundamental convictions. Tell me what a man find sexually attractive and I will tell you his entire philosophy in life. Show me the woman he sleeps with and I will tell you his evaluation of himself. No matter what corruption he's taught about the virtue of selflessness, sex is the most profoundly selfish of all acts, an act which he cannot perform for any motive but for his own enjoyment--just try to think of performing it in the spirit of selfless charity!--an act which is not possible in self-abasement, only in self-exaltation, only in the confidence of being desired and being worthy of desire. It is an act that forces him to stand naked in spirit, as well as in body,, and to accept his real ego as his standard of value. He will always be attracted to the woman who reflects his deepest vision of himself, the woman whose surrender permits him to experience--or to fake--a sense of self-esteem. The man who is proudly certain of his own value, will want the highest type of woman he can find, the woman he admires, , the strongest, the hardest to conquer--because only the possession of a heroine will give him the sense of achievement, not the possession of a brainless slut... He does not seek to gain his value, he seeks to express it. There is no conflict between the standard of his mind and the desires of his body.

There is a deep connection between the mystery of creation, as a gift springing from love, and that beatifying "beginning" of the existence of man as male and female, in the whole truth of their body and their sex, which is the pure and simple truth of communion between persons. The body which expresses femininity manifests the reciprocity and communion of persons. It expresses it by means of the gift as the fundamental characteristic of personal existence. This is the body, a witness to creation as a fundamental gift, and so a witness to Love as the source from which this same giving springs. Masculinity and femininity—namely, sex—is the original sign of a creative donation and an awareness on the part of man, male-female, of a gift lived in an original way. Such is the meaning with which sex enters the theology of the body."

Meaning of Sex? There is no need to comb the forest just to seek the meaning of Sex. Lets put it in a simple context that Sex is one of the explicit ways of expressing your love and affection to the person (GF/BF/Wife/Husband/mistress) you love most.

Don't you know that sex is only for procreation not for enjoyment according to the teaching of Roman Catholics church or any religions in general. Sex is the MOST SELFISH ACTIVITY. And it is against the teaching of Christ about self-sacrifice. self-denials. According to religion it is a necessary evil?

woah.. woah woah.. i beg to disagree about here... Sex should only be exclusive for a wife and a husband in the boundries of holy marriage... Not for Gf or Bf, and absolutley not for mistresses! It's really disturbing to know how the devil blinds and deceives us into thinking bad things as right things or prang "ok lng"... I call to all people specially my fellow Youths out there to pleeeeaaaassseeee, guys, i beg you to change our mindsets about sex and bring it back to where it came from, from the almighty creator... I am a 22 year old youth and i'm proud to stand and say I condemn sexual perversion and sexual immorality in Jesus name! Come on everybody, lets make a difference! You think premarital sex is ok? you think adultery is just fine? well people think again.. 1 corinthians 6:9 (KJV) "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall NOT INHERIT the KINGDOM OF GOD? Be not deceived: neither FORNICATORS (from the word Fornication w/c means "consensual sexual intercourse between two persons not married to each other" from webster), nor idolaters, nor ADULTERERS, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind..." these words from God are not joking my friends.. I also had the same view about sex before, I was also blinded once w/c lead me to fornication. But when I first read and understood these words, I just trembled with fear, not just any fear, but the fear of the Lord. And from then I repented sexual immorality and hated it.

Meaning of sex or lovemaking to the person you love either it is your wife,husband, GF/BF, mistress for isn't bad. If you love him/her, lovemaking or sex is one of expressions of feelings and I don't find it bad at all. It's diffrent thing if you sex with anybody else just for the sake of cooling your thirst for flesh.

Christ forgave her because she was repentant. Christ's act of forgiving her was not a condonation of adultery or fornication. It simply underscored the value of chastity: That each of us, in spite of our weaknesses, should strive for chastity.
Christ said, "Anyone who so much as looks with lust at a woman has already committed adultery with her in his heart." (Math 5:28)
Sex can be an expression of love. But it can also be an expression of lust. Unfortunately, oftentimes, lust is mistaken as love. Sometimes, love is used as a camouflage of lust.
