A one-year-old boy has died after his "suicidal" mother threw him off a ferry in the central Philippines.

Flordeluna Pabuaya dived into the water herself after forcing baby Jacob overboard as the ship passed Sicogon island.
The 27-year-old, whose husband works abroad, was found alive around an hour-and-a-half later.
Rescuers also discovered the baby boy but he was declared dead by the ship's doctor.
The MV St Peter the Apostle had been heading for Bacolod City from the capital Manila, according to Commander Harold Jarder, head of the coast guard in Iloilo province.
Paubaya's father-in-law, who was on board the ferry, is quoted as telling officials she had a "suicidal instinct" and had made previous attempts to kill herself.
Her father Leonardo Reyes said the family had already had her treated after she claimed someone was chasing her and wanted to kill her and her son.
Commander Jarder told Bombo Radyo that Paubaya was to be handed over to police in Bacolod City.
She is expected to undergo psychological tests.
