A problem in Biliran need to resolve

I was in Naval visiting my brother who was hospitalized for a motorbike accident..I have stay in Biliran garden not to hide from all kamag-anakan,,but i have a very stressy flight and my visit is not a holiday, if I will be in Marvins or Villa Laureana i knew I am most Welcome, dili matahimik akong kalag from morning to evening may bisita ko..Pls I LOVE YOU ALL relatives and friends,,but this time I need to concentrate my time with my brothers and sister and nieces and nephews just for 2 days surprise visit for them..Only Marlon knew that i will be coming home( Thank You from the bottom of my heart)..

HERE IS THE PROBLEM:
1. In biliran garden you need to pay cash for they dont accept credit card yet...quite a burden not all tourist or travellers will bring BUNDLE of cash money in thier pocket. I never expected that way' in Marvins i can pay CASH or CREDIT card..
2. 98% of all shopping and buying medicines,,and all commodities will have to pay CASH...( nakakatakot magbitbit ng malaking cash)
3. ATM machine di sana problema kung we have enough of them..nag iisa ang ATM or maybe dalawa pero laging offline,,or ang que or linya ng tao parang pumipila sa block buster movie..otherwise you have to travel to Ormoc or Tacluban,,paano kong kailangan ng gamot or urgent medicines ang nasa hospital mo,,na wala kang pera kundi credit card lang..( patay na ang pasyente mo bago ka makabalik galing Tacluban or Ormoc..Walang magawa ang mga doctors dahil wala ang gamot or medicine na kailangan nila..or ng pasyente nila..for sure the pharmacist will never give the medicines not unless you have CASH or money to pay..PROBLEM
4. Naval General hospital, madaming problema..KULANG na KULANG sa kagamitan,,rooms, and facilities,,X_RAY, LABORATORY, 2 to 3 days pa hintayin mo bago mabasa ang resulta ng laboratory or Xray mo..Wala na patay na pasyente mo,, infected na ore may complication na.. ayaw ko ng isa isahin, dahil maubos ang oras ko,,wala naman akong magawa??KANGINO ISUMBONG ITO???NASAAN ANG MGA LEADER NATIN? BUSY??NANAWAGAN LANG PO BAKA ITONG DALAWANG BINANGGIT KONG PROBLEMA maresolve naman..sana may makisagot dito MALAPIT na ANG ELECTION,,Hindi po ako nag BLOG NOT at all, hindi rin ako naki CHAT, dito lang ako sa FORUM..Hindi ko rin tinatago kong sino ako..Kilala ako bilang Europa dito pero di nakatago totoo kong katauhan,,Small potato lang po ako,,pero nakikita ko at naranasan sa 2 araw kong bisita sa hometown natin ang lahat ng problema na binangit ko dito..

NOTE: In fairness to Biliran Garden,they have,reasonable good rooms,,and the foods are GREAT. Its quite peaceful, everytime you need a service mabilis ang mga Staff and friendly atmosphere sila at magalang..only SIR or MAM sana tangap na kayo ng credit card..para humaba haba ang stay namin..

Hey, miga, I hope your brother is ok.
I feel so sad about your experience compounded
by the lack of facilities in the hospital inspite
of the funds provided.

I guess Biliranons have to "suck it up" if voters
and "remitters" like you and I don't vote
wisely- and bravely - during elections.
It happened in our family circle that the
sick relative has either to go Tacloban
or Manila because the "trust" of the
Naval Hospital facilities is really
highly questionable, thus, more
money have been spent somewhere else which could
have spent in Biliran province.

There goes economy 101 - bad politicians
means bad economy for all.

What is sad also is the fact of the hindrance of
of doctors, nurses, and other workers
to advance themselves and their skills
due to improper management.

Thanks for sharing your experience and thoughts and let's hope
we keep this mind for the next election.

Thank you Migo, my brother is fine now but still under observation..Tiaw mo ba ang isulti sa imo internal bleeding,,kalupad tawon ko wala sa oras..dili nako mabasol mga doctor kay lagi comatose ng isugod sa hospital..Hepatic encephalopathy is brain and nervous system damage, which is serious..Na X-ray, pero wala ma laboratory, wala ma head scan or walay MRI, 2 days usa mabasa sa ako ang Xray, medyo nangasaba pod ko ug gamay didto sa hospital, pero unsaon ta man nga public ra man daw ang hospital, ( siempre almost libre ang serbisyo sa mga doctor but not the medicine of course)..But anyway to make the story short he is now at home, Get well soon Bro..and THANK YOU really sa mga doctors nga naninguha sa pag salbar sa kinabuhi sa usa ka tawo,,sa anomang paraan na makakaya nila,,bisan ug kulang kaayo ug kagamitan ang hospital.

Te ok. lang po ako and I miss you too... I'm glad na Ok. na imong Brother te unsaon tman gyud ang atong hospital kuwang ug mga gamit nganha...I remember 2006 or 2007 na ospital akong ANAK nganha sa NAVAL sad for THYPOID FEVER ang ako lang ge KALAGOT ato nga time kay ang gamot nga ge hatag sa akong ANAK ang mga GENIREC NAME bah ang tawag dyan yong mga MUMURAHING GAMOT na dili mka fight s VIRUS sa THYPOID kay kong mamahaling gamot daw ang ebigay nila sa akong ANAK bka dili nako kayang BAYARAN can U emagine that???...kay kong wala nko eh balhit ang akong ANAK sa Private Hospital sa TACLOBAN basig PATAY na akong ANAK simba ko tawon...but anyway Te I am happy and glad na oking-okey na imo Bro. god help us...and thank U so Much te sa imong message did2 sa akong FS. Hmmp pwede diay tagna tagna lang unsay hitabo sa pasyente..pwede diay hatagan ug aspirin ug may hilanat, antibiotic ug may samad cough syrup ug may ubo hehehe..dali ra man mag resita.Lisud man pod pataka ug resita kay dili ra ba barato ang mga tambal. ug w kay sapi ipalit sa resita,pwede lungon na lang imong i order sa sunod..Simbako intawon. And now you've found out by your own self the horrible inadequacy of the government, specifically, the Medical services of the a government health care. Good for you, you have credit card/s, good for you have dollars/euros in your account. What i mean is, how about our brothers and sisters who don't have credit card/s, dollar/euros in their account? How about those who have less in life?

I guess Madam Europa you'll believe me now when i tell you na our political leader has other priorities and surely, hindi priority ng mga politiko ang kapakanan ng sambayanan kundi ang kanilang pansariling kapakanan lang.

I don't need to tell you that the Gov is a medical doctor, but look at the health care scenario of Biliran Province. The priorities of the Cong Chong and Gov Espina is surely not the ordinary citizen but their own self-interest.

Pustahan tayo Madam Europa, 5 years from now, ganun pa rin, walang pagbabago ang scenario that you've seen/experienced in Naval Gen Hospital.

One more thing about sa services nila dha sa hospital..if kita nila pobre ka, pasagdaan nala imo pasyente, hmm labay2an ka la! unya ikaw mauna sa imo gnhawa intawon.. then dali ra btaw kau cla ka.issue ug resita, wla pa gane ang findings?tama ba? angles dlipa kamatyonon ang pasyente, mamatay nlng jd tungod sa resita nga wlay claro! unya pagnaana ang findings resitahan ka ug lain..aguy kung ang tagtungod naglisod, samot jd..

then naa pa to incidente dha..naay pasyente na ang case was motorcycle accident..bale ang buto sa braso, damo kau nga resita unya d i to wlay gamit kay girefer mn nila sa tacloban,lahi ra mn ila resita sa resita didto!"didto lng mo sa tacloban kay wla tay gamit dre para ana",,knhanglan mana simentuhon! hmmm kita cla sa xray nga bali jud, sementohon ang giingon! then pag-abot sa tacloban miana ana ang mga dctor nga stainless jd kay lageh bali mn jd xa, bsed sa xray! Naglisod pa jd ug ambulansya para adto tacloban! hayyys! paita jud...

Hi Madam K Queen or Sir??, thank you sa sagot, Sana ma dagdagan na lang ang service sa Xray ug Laboratory,,kulang gyod kaayo ug serbisyo.ayaw na lang MRI sobra na modern.2010 is already next year, sapalagay mo may bag-o bang dagway mag interest modagan pagka Governor or Congressman or bisan mayor sa atong town? Ako bitaw paminaw mura ug walay voice atong mayor diri,,mora man ug ang away ra ni Congressman ug ni Governor ang KUSOG sa biliran. well we just hope for the best for our town..I have never been a voter, my reason always I dont know them and i dont trust if they are good leader or not, but to tell you the truth my whole family and lots of lots of relatives are VOTERS..sana naman next time isipin din ang health care natin..I used to go home (evenif i dont have HOME to call in Naval)once or twice a year. Naval still my hometown. My prayer sana mabigyan din ng pansin ang Hospital no? Ang road to Tacluban okey na baya. At least may ATM na rin even if it is offline most of the time..dugangan na lang.

In fairness to our mayor in naval..kanang hospital nato diha sa naval under na sa governor sa biliran. Ambot bitaw.... Anus-a pa kaha na mo improve ang hospital diha. Usahay, ang mga pasyente tawon naa nalang sa lobby kay kulang sa rooms. Agwanta nalang tawon kay kadaghanan baya diha sa ato dili ka afford pagdala sa ilang pasyente ngadto sa tacloban, labina kung walay magpa-utang..
