Ambulances of the Biliran Provincial Hosp. and from the Naval Mun. Health Office together with the PNP Patrol cars are stationed at the command center in Brgy. Imelda this time to respond to the needs of the search and rescue team and the mountaineers who are now in the forests of said barangay. Despite cloudy weather with thick rain clouds here in Naval, the mountaineers continue to scour the thick forest of Brgy. Imelda, Naval where a private plane allegedly crashed early morning yesterday, Sept. 10. As of now, personnel manning the command center in said barangay led by Sofronio Dacillo of the Biliran PDRRMC are awaiting results of the local search & rescue operations.(fj)
The search and rescue operations conducted by a team of mountaineers of LGU-Naval, Red Cross in Tacloban City, Biliran Geothermal Inc. (BGI)and from Brgy. Imelda, Naval was formally called off at 12:00 noon today after the team failed to locate the plane that allegedly crashed in the mountains of Brgy. Imelda, said Naval Vice Mayor Redentor Villordon. The residents of Brgy. Imelda in Naval will not give up in locating the site of the alleged plane crash that happened in their brgy. According to Naval Vice Mayor Redentor Villordon, the barangay-organized mountaineers in the area informed him that they will again go up to the thick forests of the barangay to find the exact location of the crash site.
