I was watching the GMA's new TV program entitled "Kakasa ka ba sa Grade 5?" and i was disgusted on how the contestant performed. In last night's episode, the contestant was a graduate of the Philippines's primiere university, the University of the Philippines. Graduates from UP were called "Iskolar ng Bayan", the "Cream of the Crop" or Crap(?).

What pisses me off was how he performed. Imagine, he was to cheat when ask how many months are there in one quarter of a year!! Marami pang mga tanong ang kinailangan pa ng contestant na mag cheat, mangopya sa klasmeyt, etc.

Ano ba yan? Ganito na ba kagaling ang ating mga graduates from UP???

Even in my department, almost of all my new engineering members dont even can recall the basics of Thermodynamics and Mathematics.

that tv quiz show isn't ALL about the state of education in this country nor UP, its a bit more on good memories in Grade 5 too, anyway, not being able to answer that very simple question really is a big shame to UP and to that guy himself but don't get me wrong, not all graduates from UP acts like that.
