Municipality of Naval, Biliran Province
Cabungaan, Biliran Island, Philippines
Cabungaan. Although its root word is the generic Bisaya term for “fruit,â€EBunga (Areca catechu) here specifically refers to the betel palm, whose reddish-yellow fruit was traditionally used with lime and the leaves of betel pepper or tobacco as ritual chewing material called buyô or mamâ [Tramp 1995, 61]. Kabungaan means “a place where bunga is abundant.
It has a population of 383 (2010 Census).
