Lico, Biliran Island, Philippines

Lico. The official name of this barangay comes from “a certain species of the Ubi tuber E[Sanchez 1711]. It is pronounced as lí.kô, as contrasted to li.kô, which means “to turn. EThe lico tuber must have been used both as food and medicine by the timber- cutters during the galleon-making years in this former Isla de Panámao.

It has a population of 910 (2010 Census).
