PERSISTENCE OF MEMORY
HE PERSISTENCE OF MEMORY. A scanned copy of the Biliran provincehood campaign sticker in 1992 (above) reminds us that Biliran Province will be 17 years old on May 11 this year. The provincial government did not commemorate this milestone event in 2007. The photo below shows an early morning shot of the school plaza behind the Naval Central School, with the Naval SPED Center, parts of NIT buildings, and the Naval mountains in the background. The plaza is a childhood playground and weeding and cleaning ground of generations of Navalians who learned their ABCs at this school. - Prof. Rolando Borrinaga
