Mount Panamao

Did you know? Mt. Panamao is the first known volcano in Biliran, located northwest of the island. This was described as eruptive by Jesuit Fr. Francisco Alcina, who wrote in 1668 that he had often seen the mountains on the island of Panamao [old name of Biliran] throwing out fire, especially on very dark and stormy nights. - Rolando Borrinaga Photo by Jalmz
