Dr. Anthea Naputo

Dr. Anthea Naputo, Senior Agriculturist of the Department of Agriculture (DA) 8 explains in details the sections of RA 9482 otherwise known as "An Act Providing for the Control and Elimination of Human and Animal Rabies Prescribing Penalties for Violation Thereof and Appropriating Funds Therefor during the World Health Organization (WHO) - Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) RAbies Project forum held on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at the Naval State University (NSU) Hostel in Naval, Biliran.


The forum was attended by the district supervisors of nine school districts of Biliran province, some local government officials and the members of the Biliran Provincial Rabies Prevention and Control Committee.


Also with the group of Dr. Naputo as resource persons were Dr. Marie Flor Elona, Medical Rabies Coordinator of the Department of Health Region 8 and Elaine Joy Villarosa, also of DOH 8 and the BMGF-WHO staff.


Biliran province since January, 2009 until June, 2011 has no rabies cases, according to Lorna Casas Jadulco, Provincial Rabies Coordinator of Biliran. (PIA Biliran)
