PILGRIMAGE OF THE RELICS OF ST. THERESE TO NAVAL TOWN

Devotees of St. Therese of the Child Jesus were happy of her third visit to Naval town in the province of Biliran on Friday, February 22, 2013. The relics of St. Therese which arrived at the Naval port at around 9:30 in the morning was met by a huge crowd of devotees led by Bishop Filomeno Bactol and the priests of the Diocese of Naval together with the Catholic faithful who were devotees of St. Therese to include students from the different schools in Naval. The arrival ceremony at the port area was followed by a procession to the Naval Cathedral for the 10:00 o'clock concelebrated mass with Bishop Bactol as the main celebrant. The relics of St. Theres will stay overnight at the Naval Cathedral to give more time for the devotees to offer prayers and veneration. A mass is scheduled at 6:00 o'clock in the morning tomorrow, Saturday (February 23) before she will be motored to Ormoc City for the next leg of her pilgrimage in identified parishes in Eastern Visayas. - PIA Biliran
