The Biliran Provincial Nutrition Council (PNC) is encouraging parents of school children to maintain a backyard garden where they can harvest fresh vegetables daily, said Rio Rosales, District Nutrition Program Coordinator during the Kapihan forum on Wednesday, June 11. For households with no space for backyard gardens, the parents were taught to utilize empty cans and plastic bags where they can plant vegetables for their own consumtion everyday, he added. (fj)
