Miss Bulalacao

BLUE HERON. "Miss Bulalacao" is written and directed by Ara Chawdury, the daughter of my kababayan and Silliman kabuko Diana B. Chawdhury, and filmed in Biliran. I am not sure if the main character\'s story here was at least inspired by or echoed a real situation in 1992, when a male graduate of UPM - School of Health Sciences named "Carlo" from Mindanao, hogged the headlines for weeks for allegedly being pregnant (until the story was proven to be a hoax). - Prof. Rolando Borrinaga #MissBulalacao
