Christine Joy A. Bacayon of Almeria bested 7 other candidates as she was crowned Miss Biliran 2008 held last May 9, 2008 @ NIT Gym. The 19 year old beauty has also won the Miss Photogenic and Miss Avon special awards. She’s currently taking up BS-Psychology at the University of the Philippines Tacloban Campus.
19 yr old Maryam Fatima of Maripipi landed as 1st Runner up. She also took the Best in Swimwear, Best in Talent and Best in Evening Gown.
Villamira Miflores of Naval was 2nd Runner up who also got the best in Swimwear.

Miss Friendship – Sheila Udtohan (Miss Culaba)
Miss Casino – Paula Monique Casaul Tonelete (Miss Biliran)
Miss Bioderm – Caroline Suzane C. Kuper (Miss Kawayan)
Miss Avon – Christine Joy A. Bacayon (Miss Almeria)
Miss Internet Choice – Verunque, Zaira Marie P. (Miss Caibiran)
Miss Biliran 2008 took away the prize money of 20 thousand pesos. Fifteen thousand pesos for the 1st Runner-up and 10 thousand pesos for the 2nd Runner-up respectively.
Minor awards winner got 1 thousand pesos each. And 5 thousand pesos for the Miss Internet Choice special award.
Judging the event were Jolina Codilla, Schools Division Superintendent of Biliran Sarah Apurillo, Former Mayor of Leyte Leyte Arnold James Ysidoro, Tabango Leyte Mayor Bernard Jonathan Remandaban and Meldrin Mendoza.
Singer-actor Jay-r of GMA talent center graced the night as he serenades the 8 lovely candidates during the pageant.
Rico Lucena, tv anchor of ABS-CBN Cebu and Desiree Brigette E. Balatero , Miss Palaro 2008 1st Runner-up hosted the said event.
