A couple namely Doroteo Tambis and Veoleta Tabiolo were brutally killed at Atipolo, Naval, Biliran around 10: 30pm last January 1, 2008. The two of three identified suspects namely Julius Abuelo, 23 years of age, the utility helper of the victims and Danny Entero, 23 years of age, neighbor of the victims are now both detained at the Naval Police Station.

According to Police Senior Inspector Martin Lagat, the suspects manage to get inside the house of the victims through the help of Julius Abuelo who has the key for the main door. Once inside Julius stayed at the main door to be the look out while Danny Entero and the other suspect climb at the space at the top of the master’s bedroom CR. Through the CR the two suspects enters the victim’s room and made the horrible crime.

The suspects took 5,000.00 pesos and the cellular phone of Doroteo Tambis while 500,000.00 pesos and jewelries worth of 30,000.00 pesos were taken off from Veoleta Tabiolo.

Robbery with Double Homicide charge is now file against the 3 suspects while the Police Station is waiting for the warrant of arrest to be issued by the court for the capture of the third suspect.

PSI Martin Lagat who is the Chief of Police here in Naval said that this case is nearly solved because of the confession of Julius Abuelo.

  3. This is so unbelievable! What a heinous crime! What are these people doing inside the house? Nag uro usyoso. The house itself is a crime scene. They are contaminating the crime scene. Where’s the police and the investigators? Why they did not cordone off the place and not allow anybody to come inside the house except for the crime scene investigator? Only in Naval!
    Pambihira! To think nga naay Criminology course sa NIT, unya karon ang crime scene na compromised kay kining mga tawong nag uro osyoso. Hala kanang may mga fingerprints sa mga tawo nag uro osyoso, iapil na sa list of suspects kay wa ta kasabot ning bisita ang killer sa crime scene. Naa pay usa diha concern unsa ibado sa patay. Kabuang! Wa gyod alamag! Intawon unya na lang ang bado, mas importante ang crime scene investigation and collection of any physical evidence. Kanang police dept naa unta na silay expert nga crime scene investigator to handle a case like this kay ang Naval nagtika progressive nagtikakuyaw ang krimen. Are there any witnesses? Kong walay witness, it’s possible the victims know the killer or killers, basig high pa na siya sa drugs kay the viciousness of the crime speaks for itself.

    It is a good idea for the town to come up with a reward money for the tip or tips leading to the arrest of the killers. The investigators job is to follow up any leads. Naay giingon nga money talks. So this is the time to use MONEY to get results. Make the reward money big like 20,000 – 25, 000 pesos, diba iya best friend o asawa i turn in ni sila para maila ang reward money.

    It is for the best interest of the town to support this reward money because nobody is safe after this. Kong wa pay na arresto, maayo pa lang mag andam ug pusil og dili naay watch brigade sa mga neighborhoods mobantay.

  25. I was shocked at the brutality of the murders and even more at the incompetence of the police. How could they allow all those people in the house. It was shameful to see people looking in closets for clothing while two poor souls that were brutally killed laying near by on the bed. I hope everyone send letters of complaint to the police about their lack of professionalism. The mayor also needs to hold them responsible for poor police work.

  43. It appears that there was no control of the crime scene and evidence was not properly protected to be gathered for the legal side of this case. What were the Police doing as the party was underway around the dead bodies. It looked like BBQ was next to be served with San Miguel as the festivities continued. Maybe the town Mayor should set standards and proper proceedures for handling tragic events. Also, there are two key suspects, Julius Abuelo and Danny Entero and a third suspect that was not named; are these people being prosecuted and are they incarcerated? Is this being handled correctly? Maybe Soco or NBI can look into situation and provide a status? This a very very sad thing.
