Jenna Sabocohan, 22 years old, and Noel Garcia, both from Brgy. Agpangi, Naval died in an accident in their barangay early this evening.

(4th UPDATE May 15, 2016 10:10 AM) NAVAL, Biliran – Two persons died in a 3-vehicle accident happened along the national road at Brgy. Agpangi, Naval Biliran. The accident happened on a Saturday, May 14, 2016 on or about 7:00 in the evening.

The Victims were later identified as a certain Noel Matugas Garcia, 23 year-old male a resident of Brgy Agpangi, Naval, Biliran and Jeanah Nunez Sabocohan, 22 year- old female a resident of Sitio Basud, Brgy Agpangi.

Based on initial reports, the two were traveling from the town proper of Naval and were managing in the intersection to turn to the left side of the road going to the entrance road going to Brgy. Agpangi when it was suddenly bumped by the red Honda vehicle allegedly owned and driven by a certain Edward Veloso, parish priest of Almeria parish. The vehicle was thrown 30 meters from the impact site and allegedly hit another approaching vehicle motor vehicle driven by a certain Ralph Vincent Salas.

Salas only suffered minor damages while Fr. Veloso suffered multiple car damages. All vehicles involved in the accident is in the possession of the PNP- Naval for further investigation.

The victims’ families are reportedly not filing a case against Fr. Veloso.
