Biliran Gov. Gerardo Espina Jr. has suspended classes at all levels in all towns in Biliran Province today, December 15, 2017, due to Tropical Storm #UrdujaPH.
Naval Mayor Gerard Espina has suspended classes at all levels tomorrow, December 15, 2017, due to Tropical Storm #UrdujaPH.
We are advising all our member-consumers to recharge all your mobile units, radios, emergency lamps and other rechargeable devices while power is still available in your area. Biliran Province is under Signal No. 2 as declared by PAG-ASA. Power may be out in some areas or in the entire franchise anytime as heavy rains & strong winds occur.

Naval, Biliran – Tropical Depression Urduja maintained its strength on Thursday morning, December 14, as it approached Samar Island.
PAGASA Signal number 1 is raised in the following areas:
Southern Quezon, Marinduque, Romblon, Catanduanes, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, and Albay
Southern Leyte, Cebu, Capiz, Aklan, Antique, Iloilo, Guimaras, Negros Occidental, Northern Negros Oriental, and Northern Bohol

“URDUJA” HAS SLIGHTLY INTENSIFIED AND IS NOW BEGINNING TO MOVE CLOSER TOWARDS SAMAR ISLAND.
Expected to make landfall over Northern Samar – Eastern Samar area today.
Estimated rainfall amount is from moderate to heavy within the 500 km diameter of the Tropical Storm.
Possible raising of Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal (TWCS) #1 over Mindoro Provinces and Cuyo Islands within 6 hours.
Scattered to widespread rains will continue over Bicol Region and Visayas and is expected to prevail over Southern Quezon, Mindoro Provinces, Marinduque and Romblon. Residents of these areas must undertake appropriate measures against flooding and landslides and coordinate with their respective local disaster risk reduction and management offices.
Sea travel remains risky over the seaboards of areas under Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal.
