UPDATE: 04:19 PM August 14, 2016: More aftershocks in Biliran following magnitude 5 earthquake in Naval last night at 10:04 pm, August 13, 2016. Felt at 2:39 pm and 3:43 pm, respectively.
12:50 NN August 14, 2016: Still experiencing aftershocks here in Biliran
11:27 AM August 14, 2016: According to Bileco GM Gerardo Oledan, their structures ard ok after the earthquake. No damage reported.
11:04 AM August 14, 2016: In a phone interview, GM Mario Robenta of Naval Water District Naval said it is safe to drink their water. The turbidity was caused by the earthquake and aftershocks. So far, their structures in their source the mountain are ok. On going line checkup now by NWD.

9:24 AM August 14, 2016 Earthquake blues. We have 1 patient with lacerated wound, right foot; 1 patient complained of hypertension; and 1 patient fainted during the incident. All were discharged after observation with stable vital signs. – Dra. Joyce Caneja, Chief BPH

NAVAL, Biliran- A Magnitude 5 earthquake stuck off Biliran on Saturday and was felt in parts of central and eastern Visayas, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said.
The epicenter of the earthquake is Brgy. Catmon, in Naval, Biliran. Aftershocks are still being felt.
The tremor was felt at Intensity 5 in the towns of Naval and Almeria in Biliran; Intensity 4 in Tolosa, Leyte; Intensity 3 in Mandaue City in Cebu; and Intensity 2 in Cebu City and in Masbate City.
Phivolcs said the earthquake was tectonic in origin.
Intensity 6 per MDRRMO monitoring in the Naval Municipal Hall. The aftershock was Intensity 3. No untoward outcomes reported so far.
According to PDDRMC Jun Dacillo, no reported casualties or injuries from the earthquake. Communication lines are ok, not disrupted. No brownout.
