CULABA, Biliran, May 9 – Alleged goons were arrested by Culaba police in Barangay Bool West of Culaba, Biliran around 9:50 PM, Wednesday, May 8.
They were nabbed at a checkpoint, riding on 2 Rusi Motorcycles. The weapons were frisked from their bodies.
The arrested alleged goons were identified by Culaba police as Rommel Garin, 45, of Sitio St. Joseph, Cabibihan, Caibiran;
Rosalito Lariosa, 34, of Sitio of St. Joseph, Cabibihan, Caibiran;
Jaylord Mahinay, 24, of Sitio St. Joseph, Cabibihan, Caibiran;
Roniel Garin, 39, of Sitio St. Joseph, Cabibihan, Caibiran; and
Oscar Monzales, 32, of Brgy. Binongtuan, Culaba.
Seized items from the suspected goons were 1 pc caliber 9mm machine pistol lngram with magazine and ammunition, 1 pc caliber 45 pistol kimber yonkers with 3 magazine assembly 45 with ammunition, 1 pc. caliber 38 revolver with 6 ammunition, 3 pcs short-bladed weapons.
They were now detained in Culaba lock up cell for violations of Republic Act 10591, which penalizes persons carrying unlicensed firearms and ammunition.
