Culaba, Biliran— Nine sachets containing white crystalline substances suspected to be shabu estimated to weigh 3.387 grams with an estimated street value of P26,031. 60 were recovered by joint forces led by the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit of Biliran Provincial Police Office and PDEA during a buy bust operation about 6: 45 in the morning today in Brgy. Virginia of this municipality.

The suspect was identified as alyas “RCP” legal age, a resident Brgy Bo-ol, Central, here.

Recovered from his possession was one sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu procured by an operative in the amount of P500. During the conduct of a body search in front of an elected barangay official and a representative from the National Prosecutors Office, the searching operative recovered from the suspect’s pocket one small color black coin purse that once opened contained eight more sachets containing the same white crystalline substances suspected to be shabu. Also recovered from the suspect was one P500 bill bearing serial number WG469692 which is a court subscribed money intended for the operation.

The suspect was informed of the nature of his arrest and was apprised of his constitutional rights through the Miranda Doctrine in a language that he understands. No statement was issued by the suspect.

Charges of violation of Violations of Secs. 5 (selling illegal drugs) & 11 (possession of illegal drugs) of RA 9165, the Comprehensive Law against Illegal Drug of 2002 are being readied by PDEG against the suspect who is temporarily detained at the lock-up cell of Culaba MPS.
