Mayor Rhodessa Delante Revita
Always the queen. First term mayor Rodessa Delante- Revita of the Municipality of Caibiran, a pharmacist by profession, and a former beauty queen in school campus and in nationwide pageants is running unopposed in this municipality. Revita, in her first term, has brought tremendous infrastructure development in Caibiran and has introduced innovations in her day to day governance in the LGU. Her accomplishments in the last 3 years and her massive grass roots support in the baranggays is perhaps the reason no one challenged her this election. Being the only mayor unopposed in the entire province, Revita’s reign is now beyond being a beauty queen.

KAWAYAN

Husband vs. wife in Kawayan mayoralty race
“Therefore, what marriage has joined together, politics has put them asunder”. This twisted allusion to a biblical verse describes the latest political events in the municipality of Kawayan. Atty. Manolo Rubi, incumbent Provincial Federation President of the Liga ng mga Baranggay and a member of the Provincial Board, filed his COC for his mayoralty bid, only to be challenged by no less than his wife. Jessica Rubi, 70 years old, and a resident of Brgy. Poblacion, this town, filed her COC today for mayor as an independent, opposing the bid of her husband.
Atty. Manolo Rubi, the official candidate of the municipality’ ruling PDP- Laban Party, is a retired Registrar of Deeds of Region VII. It is not yet known on what really transpired on why his wife is running against him.
