a. The mining eruption issue that you have announced that resulted to some poor farmers sellig their land at a very cheap price. You have not rectify this issue and this matter will continue to haunt you as you pass through the campaign period.

b. The issue that binds you with the Espina dynasty. No matter how you alienate yourself with them still Biliranons do not trust your career and political move. Issues of being pakawala is still up and you haven’t proven anything that you are not… i havent personally heard that you have sue your former bosses about their obvious abuses yet even one move againstthis clan is still zero.

c. Your move to personally malign GC through lawsuit brought you nowhere. We haven’t heard you offer a public apology for the said maliciously concoted wrongdoings. Your intention maybe noble but may end up disastrous for Biliran. You still have not proven to the Biliranons that you are independent from the Espina Dynasty.

The perception that you are simply a part of Mr Gerry Espina Sr’s overall political strategy to divide the votes on the Congressional position to increase the chances of Gov Roger Espina. As they say, any division of votes is a reduction of votes of either Rep Chong or Gov Espina. Obviously in this case, in Governor Espina’s favour, where you are beholden to.

The challenge for you is to launch an education campaign on the issue of political dynasties. I still have to hear from you a strong condemnation against the Espina Dynasty who ruled Biliran for the last 12 years and now going to 15 years.

Your challenge to Rep Chong to drop the bid of his father for the gubernatorial seat is hypocritical as you should have challenged the Espinas who are fielding 5 members of their family to recapture their hold on Biliran.

There has to be some statements there which are vital to the solution of the case. Otherwise, you won’t dare mention a withdrawal of such affidavit.

You are withholding vital information, to insure your own political survival. What is exactly is the truth on the night of the ambush? The victims are screaming for justice.

Let us cut the crap and start talking business. Apart from the lame request for lifestyle check against Governor Roger Espina, have you officially filed any other cases against any member of the Espina Dynasty who obviously cannot explain their lifestyle of the rich and famous? Did you seriously follow up your request for lifestyle checks? Do you have the documents to support that you did? Or it is just a mere lip service?

Knowing that the Prolend funds were not applied to its intended objective, why did you keep quite about it and did nothing? Millions of people’s money and you silently watch as it goes down the drain unaccounted for?

Whilst you now claim that you were the first official to disclose to Msgr Bactol the on-going mining activities in Caibiran, why did you not officially condemn it in the strongest terms? Why hand out a personal note to Mr. Kuizon, fishing for any participation in the division of the spoils of the destruction of our natural resources?

You should have been in the position to disclose why the municipal government under Gerry Espina Sr and Gerryboy Espina Jr for a total of 9 years combined, had resorted to borrowing funds from private banks to supposedly finance various projects which until now have not been completed. What happened to the funds, and why is it that projects were not completed? Had the cash advances been liquidated?

For all intents and purposes, you are likewise accountable to any funds that have gone astray as you have access to the information and yet refuse to do something about it.

I am back because your good Congressman is relentless in hitting me unfairly that I am a ploy of the Espinas. There is no truth to that. I will be running on my own guided by my principles, ideals and of my election agenda.

To this date, no official appointment from the Liberal Party. Let me get straight however that I am talking to two of their party officials in relation to my possible bid for Congress under LP.

My decision could possibly be affected also with the very recent declaration of Senator Loren Legarda that she is running for a higher office under her party NCP with the opposition. She is a very good friend of mine. She helped Naval 1.1M from her PDAF. I am personally committed to her whatever psition she will be seeking thus I am carefully weighing my options and keeping it open while waiting for further developments.

Thank you for your concern but please know and be assured that no one is directing me on what to say here especially when it pertains to my political plans.

I am on my own now. I am politically independent for one year already. That could be validated with records of my votes in the Council. Never did partisan politics play in my decision from the said period up to the present.

Same applies with my radio program. The listening public is my witness. Integrity to me is being consistent- one has to walk the talk.

Please understand that there are many factors to consider in choosing a party to be aligned with ( for both national and local) and as to the decision on what position one has to aspire in an election.

As to local politics, I am strong and unchanged in my conviction not to run under the Espinas anymore. It is never also my option to run under the Chong. Because of this, the probability is high that I will run independently or in a third force.

This can be triggered also by Espina-Espina versus Chong-Chong set up where our people will be left with no choice but limited from these two families.

That we cannot allow to happen. Our people deserve a wider choice especially in electing the two highest positions of our land.

But to be honest, I am more comfortable to run as independent but campaign national candidates especially that I have to honor a personal commitment to Senator Loren Legarda who is a very good friend of mine and has helped Naval already thru me. I cannot abandon her. I promised to stick and be with her no matter what happens and wherever she goes.

Following the development that Senator Loren Legarda will run for a higher office under her party NPC with the opposition and most likely for Vice-President of Senator Chiz Escudero, then, I am now decided to be with her, to run also under the Nationalist Peoples Coalition (NPC). I will inform soonest Liberal Party of this decision so as Ang Kapatiran.

Now if you are going to ask me what position I will run now that I am settled/decided to be with NPC?

I am still on the process of weighing carefully my options either for Mayor of Naval, Vice-Governor or Congressman.

NPC however is discouraging me to run for Congress.

I need to pray more to discern, consult my family, friends, supporters and of course my party NPC. Assessing financial resources is a big factor also as well as survey results which will validate my chance of winning and will help me decide what position to settle.

I will make my final announcement as to what position to seek on 2010 with my agenda after my weekend visit to the Capital where I am going to meet our party leaders.

Are you sure? then try to recall the comments made by freedom fighters before 2007 election.

First, the freedom fighters were against the candidacy of Atty Almadro for governor because we felt that he is not winnable. So, what happened to Almadro? sa kangkungan pinupulot.

Secondly, the freedom fighters were also agaisnt the principle of Atty. villordon that once a candidate will not “buy votes”, he will win. Did Atty. Villordon win?

Finally, the freedom fihgters were totally supporting the candidacy of Rep. Glenn Chong because we believed in his honesty and credibilty. So, he won and he prove it.

Following serious developments in the political landscape of Biliran, I am withdrawing my earlier announced bid for Congress.

Please be informed also that II humbly accepted today the appointment as Provincial Chairman of the Nationalist Peoples Coalition (NPC) for Biliran where I am drafted by the party to be its candidate for Vice-Governor instead.

Again, my decision is final. I will seek for the Vice-Gubernatorial seat of Biliran under NPC.

It is also agreed by the party that NPC will not field candidates for Congressman and Governor.

We will focus our campaign for NPC Chiz-Loren or Loren-Chiz tandem, for Vice-Governor and for other local candidates of our party.

To tell you the truth we are not against you personally… we are only commenting your way of posting your blogs here at this site.
You know why? Because you seem to be high hatted just like the Espinas… Your emotional outburst should be avoided because it created more negative reactions from the bloggers. I know it is not easy to receive negative comments but the bloggers are awake and have the previledge to say whatever that they think is needed to be spelled out in here. It will not be uttered to your face if they cannot see something not good from your performance and from your political decisions and political move. How about that my friend. It is unfair to brand the bloggers as bias because they can make or break you as a poltical personality. Their blog against you is reaching at the four corners of the world and it goes back to Biliran via the Biliran votes… Study your rebuttal first before sending it back to win friends and win votes prospectively speaking.

Your posting manifests superiority and blogger do not like it.. Please practice humility in the way you approach an issue because you hve the power to express and gain support out of it as long as the bloggers will feel the sincerity of your thoughts. I agree with you anti-dinastiya. . . .if JDR will only show us his sincerity in serving the people, i will then help campaign for him in his bid for Vice-Governor. First, he must show us that sincerity by telling us what really happened in the night that GC’s father was ambushed. Secondly, he said that IF he wants TO, he can file cases against Governor in the Ombudsman. For me, by that way he can be rectified from his previous mistakes. . . .but then again isn’t blood thicker than water as the saying goes? Try to look at the patterns of JDR’s decisions very likely to that of the SR Espina. And can’t you get it still that Sr Espina jump off to Villar’s party leaving NPC empty of chairman in this district, so, they/he applied/seek for that chairmanship and been endorsed for Vice-Gov seat. In that way, they can still have the fundings of the NPC while the others are in different party to make sure they can still get all the National fundings except of course that of Lakas-CMD. Don’t forget also his pronouncements in this thread that he can’t turn his back from Loren Legarda because they are friends! Pardon me to rebut but we are not against JDR running in any office and we are not against his personality..

We are just expressing our thoughts about his prospective plan to run which ever office he wishes to run to,,, what we are trying to know from him is his political policy and his political plans and ambition and what he have achieved that might make us think otherwise amidst the negative information we are reading in here..and amidst his performance politically wise.

I believe there is nothing wrong with that… As his friend on the cyberspace we are here to suggest and give our wholehearted thoughts to him even if it is unsolicitedly asked.

The reason is obvious… we admire his guts.. but basing on his political history it will take us a time to think if we will support him or not.. I respect your opinions and I do demand that the said gesture will also be extended to us bloggers. Regardless of color as you said. But as human persons i desist to be tagged that way because in the eyes of God there is none. Opinion wise we are all equal. We have same origin and destiny… No discrimination and no name calling because we cannot bring whatever we have to heaven or hell. What remains is honor and pride that other people will have that regard honored to us not the other around beause it will be called bragging and self glorification.

JDR, don’t run as a Congressman or Vice-Governor. Aim for the Governorial post.

Glenn is doing a great job as a Congressman. The people are happy with his service. You have zero chance in comparison to Glenn. As for vice-governor, why play second fiddle to JerryBoy, wherein you can take charge as a Governor? Right now, there is no viable candidate for Governor, who is hailed from Naval. At least, you’ll have a 50-50 chance of winning as a Governor.

For all those against dynasty in Biliran island, it is better to have Glenn Chong as Congressman and Jun Del Rosario as Governor than having both Espinas in power. You can’t have 2 Chong’s in power either. So, think of JDR as a good alternative for governor. Maayo na lang na silang duha, si Glenn and Jun mag compete, for the progress of Biliran kaysa ma solo sa usa ka pamilya ang power. Kong doubtful mo, remove your doubts. E strategize ninyo nga walay political dynasty sa Biliran. Glenn and Jun for Biliran! Kailangan mag truce ni silang duha para sa kaunlaran sa Biliran.
